Antivirus Downloads

AntiVirus software is available to the University community at no charge to the individual or department. This software is made available under a license agreement with Vanderbilt and McAfee, Incorporated. Access to the software is restricted to the students, faculty, and staff of the Vanderbilt University and Medical Center for use on systems owned by Vanderbilt, its students and its faculty and staff. The software may not be distributed to others or used on any system used for any other business or commercial purposes (either non-profit or for profit).

Note: ITS strongly recommends that any previous antivirus programming be uninstalled completely before installing any of the versions here.

Note: VirusScan v8.5i is compatible with the new Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. Earlier versions of VirusScan will not install on Windows Vista and may cause system instability.

Note: VirusScan v8.5i and the current release of VirusScan v8.0i (version of January 2007, file name VS80iUNe.exe) appears to be compatible with all other programs, and may be installed on new systems. The installation of releases of VirusScan v8.0i prior to August 2006 (files VS80iUNc.exe or earlier) were known to cause conflicts with some software initially installed on new Dell (and perhaps others) notebook systems causing system crashes. Click Here if you have such a problem as a result of installing an earlier release of VirusScan for information about system recovery.

Enter your VUnetID and password when prompted to gain access to the files.
