Walking directions from Central Campus:

  • Cross 21st Ave via the foot bridge at Edgehill (North of Garland Ave crossing, behind Stevenson Center).
  • From the foot bridge turn right and walk past Kennedy Center and
    Peabody Library.
  • Turn left just before Peabody Administration. Continue past
    Payne and Mayborn. Walk down the pathway between the Commons Dining Center and the Maintenance building.
  • Just past the Dining Center area, proceed up the ramp to your
    right on the North side of the Hill Center (green dotted line on map). Alternatively, access the Hill Center via the South entrance (blue dotted line on map).
  • Go to Room 141 for assistance.
  • Notes:
    • Although shown as Under Construction on the map, the Dining Center opened in Fall, 2007.
    • You can also access the Peabody campus using the new south pedestrian bridge.

Red areas on the map reflect areas with construction. The green area is a Zone 1 parking lot. The blue area also is a Zone 1 lot, but has 2 visitor spots. They are
the 4th and 5th spaces on the left as you enter the upper deck. They
are with signs that read Reserved Parking RS# 002 and Reserved Parking
RS# 003. Please only use these if you are not a Vanderbilt University
employee. The yellow arrows show you the best path to enter the building. Additional metered parking is available at the NE corner of 18th and
Edgehill.

From Nashville International Airport
Take I-40 West to I-65 South. Exit from I-65 South at exit 81, Wedgewood Ave. Turn right onto
Wedgewood Ave. Continue on Wedgewood for several miles, and then turn right onto 18th Ave. South.
After a 4-way stop you will see several large dormitory buildings on your left. ITS is just past
them. Our building has large "1231" numbers facing 18th Ave.
From the Interstates
From the North, take I-65 South to Wedgewood Avenue exit 81. Turn right onto Wedgewood
Ave. Continue on Wedgewood for several miles. Turn right onto 18th Ave. South. After a 4-way stop
you will see several large dormitory buildings on your left. ITS is just past them. Our building
has large "1231" numbers facing 18th Ave.
From the South via I-65, take I-65 North. Exit at Wedgewood Ave., exit 81, and turn left.
Continue on Wedgewood for several miles. Turn right onto 18th Ave. South. After a 4-way stop you
will see several large dormitory buildings on your left. ITS is just past them. Our building has

From the South via I-24, take I-24 west to I-440-W. Merge onto I-65 North. Get off at
the first exit (81), Wedgewood Ave., and turn left. Continue on Wedgewood for several miles. Turn
right onto 18th Ave. South. After a 4-way stop you will see several large dormitory buildings on
your left. ITS is just past them. Our building has large "1231" numbers facing 18th Ave.
From the East, take I-40 west to exit 209A. Turn left on Broadway. When Broadway forks,
go to the left to remain on Broadway (the other road is West End). Broadway becomes 21st Ave.
Turn left onto Edgehill Ave. beneath the first pedestrian bridge. At the 4-way stop sign turn
right onto 18th Ave. South. ITS is two blocks on the right in the Hill Center building at 1231
18th Ave. South.
From the West, take I-40 east to exit 209B. Turn right on Broadway. When Broadway forks,
go to the left to remain on Broadway (the other road is West End). Broadway becomes 21st Ave. Turn
left onto Edgehill beneath the first pedestrian bridge. At the 4-way stop sign turn right onto
18th Ave. South. ITS is two blocks on the right in the Hill Center building at 1231 18th Ave. South.
Parking Park in the spaces with parking meters along 18th Ave. across from the Hill Center. Parking in the
parking lots is permit only.
Note: Vanderbilt is located a mile and a half southwest of downtown Nashville. The Vanderbilt
campus is approximately 4 hours from Atlanta, 3 hours from Birmingham, 2 1/2 hours from Knoxville,
3 hours from Louisville, and 3 hours from Memphis.
