Email Consolidation
Vanderbilt is in process of implementing a robust new email collaboration service. More than just email, this service will offer many new features to those who need them. Features include integrated calendar, electronic messaging, and voice system, which will offer the community the ability to bring people, resources, and ideas together with great spontaneity at the precise moment in a discovery, learning, or clinical experience. Spontaneous collaboration becomes easier, and the avenues for discourse expand as a result of the deployment.
The ability to combine our organization’s directory service, voice chat, instant messaging, video conferencing, desktop sharing, and web based collaboration at the touch of a button emerges through this new integrated capability. Mobility also becomes more secure, as the Apple iPhone and Windows Mobile devices can be remotely wiped in the event of data loss. You not only remove the barriers that tether you to your desk, but you receive a web mail experience that works fully across Macintosh, Windows, and Linux compute platforms while you are away from your office. You work with the certainty that we can access and protect our information as we expand the ways in which and with whom we work.
