Live Meeting
Live Meeting
Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 is an online meeting space that enables you to collaborate with colleagues at distant locations in real-time. Live Meeting includes standard web-conferencing features, such as voice-over-IP audio, desktop sharing, whiteboard, and file transfer capabilities. You can even show video from your desktop webcam.
Scheduling a Live Meeting conference
To schedule a Live Meeting you must have access to the Office Communicator server. Office Communicator is a component of Unified Communication (UC), a service that integrates Outlook with messaging, voice, and video. ITS is currently offering a production pilot of this service. Paricipation is by invitation only, but will become more fully available to the Vanderbilt community in the coming months.
Participating in a Live Meeting conference
You may participate in a Live Meeting without having Office Communicator installed on your machine. Invitations arrive by e-mail, and links are provided to download the Live Meeting client. You may participate in a Live Meeting from inside or outside the Vanderbilt network.
