Microsoft Office Training through Microsoft IT Academy

ITS is pleased to offer the following training options for Microsoft Office products.  Direct links to the most popular products are below, but these are not the only products offered.

Technical Requirements

• Internet Explorer 7 or 8.  Currently Internet Explorer 9 is not fully supported.  If you are running Internet Explorer 9, you can run the courses if you set the browser to compatibility mode.  These courses will not run in Firefox or Chrome.
• Courses run in a pop up.  Make sure your pop up blocker is turned off while you are training.
• These courses require Silverlight to run, and .NET to run certain Administrator courses.  If these programs are not installed on the machine, the machine will prompt you to install the programs. Administrative access is required to install these programs on the machine.

Microsoft Word Training

For Faculty and Staff

Faculty and staff can access training for Microsoft Word products directly through the Learning Exchange.  A VUnet ID and Password is required to log in.  We expect 2013 to be available soon.  Older versions are available as well.  The following classes are available for Word 2010:

• Beginner Skills in Microsoft Word 2010
• Intermediate Skills in Microsoft Word 2010
• Advanced Skills in Microsoft Word 2010

Microsoft Excel Training

For Faculty and Staff

Faculty and staff can access training for Microsoft Excel products directly through the Learning Exchange.  A VUnet ID and Password is required to log in.  We expect 2013 classes to be available soon.  Older versions are available as well.  The following classes are available for Excel 2010:
