Change your ePassword

Click here to change your ePassword You will be asked to login with your current VUnetID and ePassword.

After you change your ePassword

After changing your ePassword there are several things you should do immediately.

  1. Reboot your computer fully and log back into the machine using your new ePassword
  2. Backups (Cobian)
  3. Change you password on your devices:
  4. Any other services or devices where your password may be stored

 

Backups (Cobian)

  1. From the Daily Backup program click on Advanced
  2. Erase your old password and enter your new ePassword
  3. Click on OK

Android

  1. Select the All Apps icons
  2. Click on “Settings
    • Alternately, you can search for “Settings” on your device
  3. Next go to Accounts > “Corporate” or your email Account name
  4. Select “Sync frequency, notifications, etc.
  5. Select your email address
  6. Scroll down and select “Incoming Settings
  7. Under “Domain\Username” erase your old password and enter a new one
  8. Select “Done” and your password update will finalize

Blackberry

  • Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) subscribers: BES subscribers will need take no further action, ePassword changes will synchronize with your device
  • Blackberry users not subscribed to the Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES):
    1. Click the "Settings" folder
    2. Choose "Email Accounts"
    3. Go to the field that says POP settings or IMAP email address, then click "Edit"
    4. Click "Advanced Settings"
    5. Erase your old password and enter your new ePassword
    6. Click "OK" until you return to the "Email Accounts" screen
  • Blackberry OS Version 10 and above:
    1. Select "Settings"
    2. Select "Accounts"
    3. Select your Vanderbilt email account
    4. Erase your old password and enter your new ePassword
    5. Select "Done" to save the password change

iOS Devices

  1. Select "Settings"
  2. Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
  3. Select your Vanderbilt email account
  4. Select the, "Account" option at the top
  5. Select the, "Password"
  6. Erase your old password and enter your new ePassword
  7. Select "Done" to save the password change

Outlook

  1. Click "Start"
  2. Click "Control Panel"
  3. Click "Credential Manager"
    • NOTE: If View by is set to Category, click User Accounts first, and then click Credential Manager.
  4. Locate the set of credentials that has "Outlook" in the name
  5. Click the name to expand the set of credentials, and then click "Remove from Vault"
    • Repeat step 3 for any additional sets of credentials that have the word Outlook in the name.
