ITS will be installing Microsoft patches on Vmail (Exchange 2007) and Office Communications Servers between 8:00 PM, Friday, 11/20 and 2:00 AM, Saturday, 11/21.    During this time there will be brief rolling outages while servers are rebooted.

ITS will be installing Microsoft patches on Sunday, 11/15,between the hours of 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM.  During this time, thefollowing systems will experience rolling outages while servers are rebooted.

ITS plans to perform DHCP disaster recover testing onWednesday, 11/11, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.  DHCP servicemay be degraded during this time but no outages are expected.

The Vmail system is experiencing intermittent connectionissues using Outlook Web Access (OWA) via http://owa.vanderbilt.edu and http://email.vanderbilt.edu.Connections through http://email.mc.vanderbilt.edu arenot affected.  ITS is working diligently to resolve this issue.

ITS will be performing maintenance on the Epassword Identity Manager (IDM) service on Sunday, November 11, between the hours of 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM. During this time, the ability to change or create new  Epasswords will be briefly unavailable (~3 minutes).

Beginning Friday, October 30 at 9:00 PM until Saturday, October 31 at 2:00 AM, ITS will be replacing the existing "IDM" firewalls with a more robust upgraded new pair of firewalls. This is a replacement of equipment and involves no changes to the network (re: IP addressing, network configurations, etc). As such, no changes are needed to any services behind the firewalls, or to any systems that access services behind the firewalls.

ITS will be performing maintenance on the Exchange 2007 environment on Thursday, 29, between the hours of 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM. During this time, name resolution will be impacted for ~5 minutes and users will be unable to search the Global Address List (GAL).

ITS will be performing maintenance on the Virtual Center Management Service (VCMS) environment on Tuesday, October 27, between the hours of 9:00 PM and 10:30 PM. During this time, VCMS access will be unavailable.

ITS will be applying Microsoft security patches to the Unified Communications and Exchange servers beginning 10:00 PM Friday, October 23 and ending 2:00 AM Saturday, October 24. During this time there will be brief, rolling outages as these servers are rebooted.
