Due to a problem with a Network Load Balancer, there were intermittent network outages/delays with some services such as Sitemason, Shibboleth, and Email. Specifically email sent to Vanderbilt from outside the campus was delayed for delivery and owa.vanderbilt.edu was intermittently offline.

Campus WINS Issue
Earlier today an issue with the primary campus WINS serverwas discovered and repaired. This issue prevented some clients fromutilizing NetBIOS names for resolution (\\vuspacegroups\ShareName forexample). Some systems may still not be resolvable by NetBiosnames. To manually force a WINS update for your server run the followingcommand (nbtstat –RR) from an elevated command prompt. The command willneed to be ran on the system that is not resolvable and not on clients.
