ITS will be performing emergency maintenance on UnifiedCommunications and Exchange 2007 servers tonight between midnight and 2:00AM.  During this time there will be brief rolling outages while theservers are rebooted.

Between 3:31 PM and 3:47 PM today, some Exchange usersexperienced a brief interruption to email service.  Exchangeadministrators are investigating the cause of the issue.  We apologize forthe inconvenience.

ITS will be installing security patches on the campus DNSservers on Sunday, 8/9/2009, between 12:30 AM and 1:30 AM.  No serviceoutages are expected.

Earlier today an issue with the primary campus WINS server was discovered and repaired.   This issue prevented some clients from utilizing NetBIOS names for resolution (\\vuspacegroups\ShareName for example).  Some systems may still not be resolvable by NetBios names.  To manually force a WINS update for your system run the following command (nbtstat --RR) from an elevated command prompt.  The command will need to be ran on the system that is not resolvable and not on clients.

ITS will be performing maintenance on the Java Application Hosting Service on Sunday, August 2, between the hours of 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM. During this time, the following services will be briefly unavailable (~5 minutes) as a reboot is performed.

ITS will be applying operating system security patches to the personal VUspace servers on Sunday, July 26, between the hours of 12:15 AM and 6:00 AM. During this time, personal VUspace will be unavailable while the patches are applied. VUGroupspace will not be affected.

ITS will be performing upgrades to the Exchange 2007 servers on Sunday, July 12th between the hours of 12:00 AM and 1:00 AM. During this time, Exchange 2007 services will be unavailable.

Between the hours of 12:00 AM and 12:15 AM, ITS will be performing maintenance on the E-Password Identity Manager (IDM) service. During this time, event traffic in IDM (e.g., new accounts or password changes) will be queued and then processed once the maintenance is complete.
