VU Gmail Extended for Graduating Seniors
Vanderbilt University is pleased to announce that graduating undergraduate students can now continue to use their VU Gmail account, @vanderbilt.edu, after graduation. Students using VU Gmail accounts will be able to continue using their accounts indefinitely.
If you already have a VU Gmail account, you don’t need to do anything to continue using it into the future.
If you don’t already have a VU Gmail account and want to take advantage of this new extended service, you must claim your VU Gmail account before May 8, 2009. To claim a Vanderbilt Gmail account visit The Vanderbilt Gmail page and follow the instructions.
Please note: When you create your Vanderbilt Gmail account, you will no longer receive email via your VUmail account; however, you may still log in and view VUmail for 30 days after signing up. You may also batch import existing VUmail email into your VU Gmail account. For more information see the instructions for moving email.
Should you choose not to claim a VU Gmail account your VUmail account will follow standard de-provisioning processes. For additional details, please visit the VUmail FAQ.
If you have questions, please consult the Frequently Asked Questions section on the VU Gmail page.
