VUspace

Mounter Utility (for Windows)

The VUspace Mounter utility maps your VUspace drive to a local drive letter (such as E:\ or even V:\). To most of your programs, your network drive will appear and function like a local drive. Just imagine that your VUspace is like a floppy or a zip disk when reading from and saving to your VUspace.

You can use the VUspace mounter utility from any networked computer on campus. When you are finished using your VUspace from a public computer (such as one in a lab), make sure you unmount your VUspace before you leave the computer. That way, the next person who uses the computer does not have access to your VUspace. To unmount your VUspace, just double click on the VUspace Mounter icon, enter your VUnet ID and password, and click on Unmount my VUspace.

Note: Windows Vista users will need to right-click and choose "Run as administrator" when using vuspaceMounter.exe to mount VUspace.
